Fortalice

Fortalice provides frontline services including a Refuge with 22 flats, training and group work for women, families, children and young people who are or have been affected by Domestic Abuse and Violence (DAV). Our Outreach Support Centre provides crisis support, one to one sessions, risk assessments, Counselling and in-person and virtual group work.

We support low, medium and high-risk victims through various activities to address the abuse they have lived with. We work to promote and ensure a future free from abuse.

We also offer a range of services for children and young people aged 5-19 who are suffering the effects of DAV. This includes one to one Just For You sessions, Breaking Free group work, children’s Counselling, Play Therapy and Talking Therapy. Educating young people through early intervention programmes in Primary and Secondary schools is a key part of our service.

Since the organisation was established in 1977 we have provided support, education and advice to thousands of families. Staff have a wealth of specialist skills, expertise and knowledge in this area. We also educate professionals on issues related to Domestic Abuse through our accredited training courses, both in-person and virtually.
