Please find attached our new training poster that outlines courses to support Mental Health and Wellbeing and information below to introduce our new programme.
Bolton’s multi-agency Population Mental Wellbeing and Suicide Prevention Programme aims to work collaboratively to embed mental health and wellbeing across the system and to achieve better health and wellbeing outcomes for our population. One of the key priorities of the programme is to build capacity and increase knowledge and awareness, enabling individuals to look after their own wellbeing as well as support others in a professional or personal capacity.
A 12-month mental wellbeing and suicide prevention training plan has been developed to provide staff and volunteers with confidence, skills, and knowledge to be able to recognise the signs and symptoms of poor mental wellbeing in themselves and others, and how to access appropriate and timely support.
From October onwards, Bolton Council’s Learning and Development Team in partnership with Public Health are offering free training courses to staff and volunteers across Bolton ( Courses are available for council and non-council organisations).
There are a variety of courses that introduce Mental Health and wellbeing through to becoming a Mental Health Champion, including suicide prevention training.
