Understanding the CAMHS Assessment Pathway

There have recently been changes to the CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services) assessment pathway. We understand that this can feel confusing or overwhelming for families seeking support.

Our iThrive Navigators are here to help you understand the current pathway, explore available options, and make informed decisions about next steps.

✔ Clear information about the CAMHS pathway
✔ Guidance on how referrals work
✔ Support to prepare for appointments
✔ Help identifying alternative or additional support
✔ Ongoing navigation and emotional support for families

✖ We are not a diagnostic or assessment service
✖ We cannot carry out autism, ADHD or mental health assessments
✖ We cannot make clinical decisions on behalf of CAMHS

If you are unsure about the pathway or what stage you are at, our team can talk this through with you and help you understand your options.

You are not expected to navigate this alone.
