Blackrod Sports and Community Centre is a well-established community anchor organisation serving Blackrod and the wider Bolton area. Operating from a vibrant, multi-use community facility, the Centre provides a diverse programme of activities and services that improve health and wellbeing, reduce isolation, strengthen community cohesion and create opportunities for people of all ages.
Originally established to provide high quality sports and recreation facilities, the organisation has evolved into a trusted community hub delivering a wide range of services including youth activities, holiday provision, sports and physical activity programmes, community events, volunteering opportunities, health improvement initiatives and support for local families. The Centre works closely with schools, local authorities, charities, sports organisations, health partners and community groups to respond to local need and deliver positive outcomes.
Blackrod Sports and Community Centre has extensive experience of working with children, young people and families through structured sports coaching, youth clubs, school holiday activities, family events and community based wellbeing programmes. The organisation is committed to creating safe, inclusive and welcoming opportunities that encourage participation, build confidence, develop life skills and improve physical and mental wellbeing.
